If you need data to be synced from the MIS or any other system to another software, please ensure that the software was approved as part of the Software Approval Process.
If the software is already approved and used within the group, and you need data to be updated this is how IT can help:
Integrating systems to the source:
IT can assist in automating the upload of data from system A to system B, should both systems support this process.
IT cannot:
IT cannot upload data manually from a system to another, this is the responsibility of the product owner/user as agreed in the software approval process.
Explanation on systems and software used within the group:
- IT only work with automated data integration, to ensure and deliver:
- Efficiencies,
- Reduce/eliminate errors,
- Maintain and keep the data up to date,
- Manage resources – the IT team is a lean team with limited resources supporting all schools within the group. IT does not support manual data uploads,
- We work and ask software providers to integrate with the MIS for the data to flow to other systems, alternatively:
- the person who uses or responsible of using the product will need to maintain the data.
- an alternative to be found and go thorugh the software approval process.
- Software renewals will be handled by finance and will be approved by IT when necessary.
