Teaching and Learning
- In order to maintain handwriting skills and help manage Behaviour, all pupils should be handwriting using their stylus and their device folded flat on the desk unless their access arrangement says they can type.
- All class work is to be completed on OneNote/Microsoft Teams applications or site directed by the teacher.
Pupils using their device inapproperiately in lessons will be sanctioned with a lunch time detention. This will escalate in the behaviour persists. It is vital pupils use the device for learning
Application Support
- If a pupil does not know how to use their device (including Microsoft Teams and OneNote) then the pupil should in first instance seek support from their house digital ambassador and if they can't solve the pupils issue it can be forwarded to Mr Dweck who runs a weekly support session every Tuesday lunchtime.
Device Maintenance
- All Devices must be charged over night and holds 8-10 hours charge. There are charging opportunities in school but we are encouraging them to be responsible and charge their device for the day ahead. Pupils should not need to charge in lessons.
- All pupils are told on delivery day in order to maintain optimal working of the device they must frequently shutdown / restart their device, as well as running frequent windows and dell updates. If an issue occurs with their device performing these tasks will resolve 99% of issues. If problem persists they can hand in device and collect a replacement at the school office.
