When you are ready to add events to the calendar you use the SOCS CMS to add either single or recurring events. You can tag the event into the relevant categories, and you can tag it to more than one. For example, the school production of Joseph could be tagged into the public categories of “Drama”, “Senior School”, “Parents” and “The Large”.

Assuming the event is approved and then published, Parents can then filter the public facing calendar by category to see what’s going on. You can select a location from a list of school locations, or add a map point using the google maps plug in. You can add a website link using the URL feature (good for adding a link to a ticketing system, for example)

Finally, those with the relevant calendar access level, can decide to approve and publish the event. Those without don’t see the options to approve or publish the event.
