Requesting access to Leaver's Email

If you need access to someone's email account (leaver), unless the leaver consented and informed IT in writing confirming that they are happy for you to access their files after their departure, IT is unable to grant you that access. 


For GDPR reasons you'll need to log a ticket accompanied by a written approval email from HR to allow you to access the emails/files the you are requesting access to.


HR may authorise the change or may request supervised access to the emails or files.


Please Note:

* Manager's approval is not sufficient 
* IT is not authorised to make changes or grant access to staff email without HR approval or the leaver written consent from the leaver to IT specifying who is authorised to review their emails and/or file
